Job Description

Missile Systems is seeking a Material Program Manager III (MPM) who will perform as a member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization and be responsible for supporting and working Customer Proposal and Program Start-Up / Execution efforts on the AMS product line for the Multi-Purpose Booster Development (MPBD) Program.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

1. Working closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
2. Lead and manage a team of other MPM's supporting MPBD
3. Develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
4. Generating Supplier Request For Proposals / Quotes (RFQ’s / RFP’s)
5. Gate Review preparation and/or support
6. Supporting Prime Contract Proposal activities for Suppliers and SCM BOE’s
7. Identifying Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtaining any required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications
8. Obtaining, understanding and processing Supplier proposals/quotes
9. Assisting with the generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW’s)
10. Generating and processing Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests
11. Generate and manage SCM Material Sales, Estimate At Completion (EAC) and Risk & Opportunities
12. Purchase Order Place Plan generation and update
13. Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement and management
14. Line of Balance (LOB) execution and maintenance
15. Lead Make/Buy decisions and affordability efforts for program material
16. Assist and/or Lead negotiations on Material with Suppliers and/or the Customer
17. Preparing and executing Material Program Plans (MPPs)
18. Generating mitigations and/or resolving issues impacting/effecting all of the above

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar is required
  
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in a similar role which can include a combination of Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, Production Control, Program Planner, Material Estimating, and/or Finance experience is required
  
• Ability to obtain final DoD Secret Clearance
  
• Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SOW)
  
• Experience with Supplier Statements of Work (SOW)
  
• Experience with Supply Chain / Production Control / Procurement processes and requirements
  
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  
• Ability to work in a dynamic technology driven developmental environment subject to change
  
• Ability to work in a cross functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment managing multiple priorities
  
• Meeting commitments, accomplishing goals & delivering results
  
• Strong Presentation Skills and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management and the external customer
  
• U.S. Citizenship

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:

• Masters’ Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
• Active Secret security clearance
• MPM Certification
• Enterprise Sourcing and Performance Excellence (ESPX) Aptitude
• Estimating, proposal, Negotiation and/or capture experience

Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
