Desktop Automation Developer

Job Description

The Desktop Automation Developer will be part of a development team for a variety of Financial applications. Responsible for design, development and/or delivery of these customized Financial applications
Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Using programming language and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Key Competencies and Skills:
• End to end development of process automation • Proficient (5+ years’ job experience) with automation development with .NET, C# or Visual Basic • Proficient with database design and queries (MySQL, MS SQL, Teradata, Oracle) • Experience with data imports (APIs, SSIS), JavaScript, HTML and CSS • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to write thorough product and process documentation • Overall IT knowledge (security and compliance) and debugging skills
Education and Qualifications:
• Computer Engineering / Computer Science Applied Science / Electrical Engineering / Math or related education (required) • Portfolio • 5+ years of total experience with application development and implementation.
