Job Description
This Gogo Commercial Aviation Senior Financial Analyst will be in a highly visible role reporting to the Director of FP&A. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key contributor to enhancing current FP&A processes and will help build the organization’s financial support structure. More than simply being an analyst reporting data, you will be an FP&A/Finance partner providing solutions and driving changes within Gogo’s business!
How will you make a difference?
- Provide FP&A support for the team, including financial planning, reporting and analysis
- Provide financial modeling and business case analysis to support various initiatives
- Prepare monthly financial package and KPI analysis, drive financial accountability with the budget owners
- Develop a deep understanding of financial targets and key drivers of the business; drive continuous improvements to forecasting and tracking process
- Lead cross functional effort to automate reporting and planning models
- Work closely with leadership team to support strategy, develop business cases, and produce P&Ls
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of financial planning and analysis or related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related area required
- In depth knowledge and understanding of financial and business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
Required Skills, Talents & Experience
- Knowledge of accounting and the associated rules and regulations
- Strong business acumen and excellent analytical skills, able to think creatively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
- Excellent drive for results and complex problems solving skills coupled with the ability to build strong strategic working relationships
- Practical knowledge of financial analysis and planning software applications as well as Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills, with well-developed presentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives
Preferred Skills, Talents & Experiences
- Experience in the telecommunications, wireless internet services, Internet field or airline industry preferred
