Position Overview:

As a Digital ASIC/FPGA Design Senior Leader for Boeing Space Electronics, you will lead a world-class IC design and verification team supporting a wide range of programs across Boeing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of ASIC/FPGA design and verification.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Requires experience with ASIC/FPGA development and technology (including architectural definition, detailed design implementation)
  • Experience in digital design using hardware description languages (System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL).
  • Experience with project management: baseline establishment, earned value metrics, scheduling, configuration management, assessment of risk, opportunity, and affordability management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge and competency of UVM and space/avionics radiation effects are preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with increasing responsibility including ASIC/FPGA lead roles managing a team of design and verification engineers.
  • Experience with project management and earned value.
  • Thrive in working within a fast-paced environment and work well in a team of ASIC/FPGA engineers and Subsystem engineers
  • Experience in overseeing multiple concurrent development efforts.
  • Active US security clearance is preferred.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
