The Role
This is a 4 Month, Temporary Delivery Coordinator role, where you will be responsible for coordinating the most memorable moment in any Tesla owner’s life... the delivery of their new electric car!
The Delivery Coordinator’s role is to excite and engage with customers, providing an exceptional and efficient delivery day experience. Taking the lead for day-to-day delivery centre operations, success in this role requires balancing the competing needs of internal teams and valued customers while tracking vehicle preparations, communicating status updates and improving operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills and the ability to articulate technical acumen clearly, while maintaining excitement with throughout the customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the Tesla family by making their journey to ownership a delightful experience.
- Educate customers on how to effectively use their Tesla
- Re-calibrate expectations as needed in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Identify and overcome objections and obstacles, including charging, timing and customer education.
- Interface with support admin teams (Order Operations, DMV, Remarketing), as well as service, sales and logistics to seamlessly coordinate all aspects of the delivery and vehicle movements for Service Centre and Tesla direct delivery. As needed, communicate directly with lending institutions and external trade-in partners.
- Coordinate final receipt of delivery and in line with accounting’s revenue recognition standards.
- Where applicable, ensure all purchase and registration documents are thoroughly and accurately signed and in line with accounting’s revenue recognition standards.
- Prepare vehicles and host delivery appointments, including new owner orientations tailored to the individual customer’s needs and comfort level.
· Build relationships and manage communication between detail, service and delivery teams with a prompt response time.
- Act as the last line of defense for quality and customer experience before the vehicle handover. Communicate feedback to program management and other relevant parties to drive departmental efficiency and company-wide improvements.
- Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
- Contribute ideas toward improving the Tesla delivery experience, as well as back-end processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate a mastery of all Tesla products and services, as well as local incentives for EV owners. Keep up with industry trends and best practices.
- Proactively and consistently, update our CRM system to ensure accurate and timely delivery information is available to management.
- Be proficient in local DMV requirements in order to be able to assist with vehicle registration and licensing activities as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to grow a mastery of all Tesla products and services, and the ability to keep up with EV industry trends and local incentives.
- At least one year of customer facing experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who takes initiative, goal-oriented and highly motivated.
- Creative thinker with the ability to resolve critical problems quickly and independently.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships across several business units.
- Must hold a full local Driver Licence with an excellent and safe driving history which must be maintained.
