Description

Primary Function of Position
Develop, lead, and implement marketing plan, key programs, and support to drive procedure adoption of da Vinci Surgery amongst thoracic, cardiothoracic and cardiac surgeons.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Own the planning and implementation of ISI’s presence at key CT surgery conferences, including symposia, post graduate (PG) courses, live surgical broadcasts, booth presence, and promotion.
• Partner with the training department to identify and support the development of new training programs for both attending and resident/fellow surgeons. Partner with key surgeon champions to develop and implement leading robotic clinical education programs to drive competency and utilization of da Vinci Surgery.
• Develop and implement strategies to communicate the da Vinci Surgery value proposition directly to target surgeons through non-sales channels, such as webcasts, email/e-blast campaigns, and online content.
• Work closely with CT surgeons and product development to define marketing and product requirements for new products needed to further enable key CT surgery procedures and drive procedure adoption.
• Work closely with clinical affairs to develop and implement a clinical publication strategy that supports CT surgery procedure adoption goals. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of key robotic and non-robotic clinical publications.
• Lead field communications to promote key marketing programs to maximize impact on CT surgery procedure growth.
• Train new sales hires on marketing strategy, surgeon targeting, procedure positioning, sales support, and key marketing programs to drive CT surgery procedure adoption.
• Develop surgeon-facing sales collateral, both print and digital, to crisply communicate the clinical and economic value of da Vinci CT Surgery
• Lead content development for key sales force training sessions at Intuitive Surgical sales meetings
• Spend time in the field with sales partners to engage and develop (clinical & economic evidence) new and existing KOLs in the field, and gather real-world feedback on the use of da Vinci in CT procedures.
• Partner with Sales Operations to measure the ROI of marketing programs and identify trends in the adoption of da Vinci CT Surgery. Communicate findings on a consistent basis to marketing and sales leadership.Qualifications
Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Requirements
• Product or clinical marketing experience in a therapeutic medical device company. Cardiothoracic Surgical and/or OR experience desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science or business discipline desired.
• Proven ability to effectively position and message product/procedure and develop strong sales support to drive product/procedure adoption. Demonstrated success in building clinical education and marketing programs to drive product/procedure growth.
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to deliver high-impact marketing programs on-time and within budget to support overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
• Superior verbal/written communication, presentation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to work across multiple constituents.
• Self-starter with ability to take leadership in unstructured environment.
• Able to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks.
• Must be well versed in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 50%. Some international travel may be required.
Education and Training Requirements
• MBA desired.
