Manulife Investment Management (MIM) is the global asset management arm of Manulife. We provide comprehensive asset management solutions for pension plans, foundations, endowments, financial institutions and other institutional investors worldwide, as well as for Manulife and John Hancock’s wealth management and retirement products. We have operations in 17 countries and territories, including more than 4501 investment professionals across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines. In addition, we have a joint venture asset management business in China, Manulife TEDA, and operations in Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. Our investment expertise extends across a broad range of asset classes including equity, fixed income and private investments, as well as asset allocation strategies.

We are currently hiring an Institutional Marketing Manager who will be accountable for the development and execution of marketing and communications strategy for MIM’s Institutional United States and Latin America (LATAM) distribution channel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute institutional marketing campaigns that raise awareness of the brand and/or focus strategies.
  • Oversee and lead the production of marketing material, working with the in-house marketing department resources, pertaining to the Institutional channel including: product and investment communications, newsletters, research papers, brochures, presentations, events and meetings, web promotions, sales ideas and emails.
  • Manage and lead product marketing projects, including fund launches, sales presentations, web pages, product campaigns and other marketing efforts. Research, gather and disseminate information for projects and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with product and investment teams.
  • Recommend product and investment content for distribution via web, social media and email.
  • Develop relationships across all functional departments including sales, product management, legal/compliance, and where applicable, external investment management partners.
  • Submit materials for compliance reviews and work with compliance partners to revise as needed.
  • Manages and supports multiple projects

Requirements:

  • Institutional Marketing experience in a financial service environment preferred
  • Proactively manage partnerships with internal partners and external vendors, including investment writers.
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 4-6 years experience in mutual funds or investments marketing
