Performs all roles in managing, automating, and improving software deployments & system operations. Understands automation technology and how it is best applied to reach a continuous deployment, continuous automation goal. Builds automation scripts capable of operating solutions with minimal manual maintenance. Works effectivity in a global environment supporting mission critical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Google cloud platform and PaaS experience with DevSecOps services.
• Working alongside a performance testing team to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.
• Strong background in Cloud Infrastructure
• Working with monitoring tool sets and custom alerting, log analysis, Stackdriver
• Utilizing scripting languages to facilitate automation and maintenance (primarily Bash, Ruby and Python)
• Follow the Agile (more specifically Scrum) working methodologies
• Building production systems on GCP utilizing Google Services (PaaS)
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps
• Facilitate container management and continuous deployment.
• Collaborate with team members from Development, QA and Support
• Work with Release Manager and development teams to deploy software releases
• Ability to quickly triage problems, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Masters in an appropriate engineering discipline required
• Bachelors degree and 9+ years experience or Masters degree and 6+ years experience
• 3+ years experience building scalable production environments and automation
• 3+ years experience with automation/configuration management tools Terraform, Chef, Git
• Experience with Monitoring tool sets and custom alerting, Grafana, Stackdriver
• 2+ years experience with administrating Java, Python or backend server components.
• Experience with databases (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
• Experience with open source infrastructure such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience with running front-end applications like Apigee, load balancers, web servers in production environment
