Join us as a Site
Director and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based at our JFK
Airport site.
As a Site Director, you
will be responsible for overall leadership responsibility and accountability
for the success of a large Service Delivery Center (SDC). You will also be a primary
Bombardier representative to the customer and community, demonstrating the
highest level of ethical professionalism and delivering the message that
Bombardier Transportation is the global leader in the transportation industry. In
addition, you will maintain overall accountability for talent management and
development the SDC.
Responsibilities:

Communicates strategic
and functional visions to all SDC Employees through managers and ensures
execution alignment.

Develops and cascades
engagement strategies to the SDC employees, relying on Managers/Supervisors to
ensure employee engagement.

Works with employee unions
to ensure a harmonious relationship exists.

Challenges individuals
to develop skill outside of their comfort zone.

Identifies and develops
successor to key roles, including own role.
-
Develops and assumes
accountability for strategic HSE vision at the SDC.

Leads by example,
ensures Manager/Supervisor roles include creating, fostering & encouraging
a true safety culture.

Places a key role in
developing, marketing & selling future business and maximizing
opportunities.

Maps a clear strategy
for life asset management creating opportunity & reinforcing customer
intimacy.

Drives budget management
to lowest level of the SDC, financially astute with vision for growth &
risk mitigation.

Politically savvy with
contract management level, up to the highest executive level.

Serves as a source of
professional advice for solving significant customer problems. Doing so with
little guidance and initiates commercial propositions to the customer for
value-added projects.

Lead multi-skilled and
cross-functional teams including technical staff to bring resolution of complex
problems.

Directly involved with
internal discipline to resolve problems and provide solutions.

Leverages a network of
support, both internally and externally, to achieve goals.

Understands underlying
needs and motivations of others to maximize team engagement.

Exhibits excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
-
5+ years of experience as a Site Director in the transportation industry (light rail or passenger rail) with responsibilities in profit & loss, purchasing, and managing budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Business or Engineering
-
Experience in a supervisory role leading an organization with multiple functions and disciplines reporting directly and indirectly.
