Position Title: Manager Ecommerce Global Business Development

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Reports to: Sr. Manager Ecommerce Global Business Development

The Manager, Ecommerce Global Business Development role requires the ability to influence, strengthen and manage the relationship with internal business partners and external international retailers. This role will be focused on executing the Ecommerce global growth strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong partnering skills with demonstrated follow-through on the execution of programs to drive high share of voice. Experience should include a strong knowledge of Ecommerce and experience driving sales via partner websites.

This role will advance the division’s Ecommerce global presence in international pure play and marketplace accounts while developing in all functional sales capabilities, including: Product availability, Pricing, Shopper Marketing, and Customer development. This team will execute the global growth strategy by region with key customers – partnering with local and global cross functional teams to deliver sustainable growth.

You will drive the localization of the global strategy by region while working with brand leaders and agency partners on programs and initiatives. The position will require leadership, financial acumen, customer interface skills, and strategic agility capabilities.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Build and implement the go-to-market strategy by category and region – Collaborates with customers and internal teams for effective product assortment, e-shelf merchandising, and promotions and pricing recommendations.
  • Key point of contact / ownership of each regional expansion project (internal and external partners) – align internal goals & lead customer joint business planning
  • Coordinate growth effort across all key stakeholders – driving key projects to deliver growth with local teams / consolidate and communicate Ecommerce customer financial outlook
  • Responsible for ongoing plan optimization – scoping business opportunities for internal review as well as ensure flawless execution with the local customer partners.
  • Use tactical skills, experience and talents to deliver innovative thinking for the website product line experiences.
  • Responsible for the reporting in cooperation with Analytics team (collection, analysis, communication).
  • Partner with digital team to develop the immediate and ongoing content and marketing support strategy
  • Coordinates and leads cross functional teams (finance, IT, legal, etc).

  • Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain, IT & Finance

Previous experience and qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of effectively driving business with key strategic customers and internally at a large consumer packaged goods company
  • 1-2 years marketplace or pure-play (non-Amazon) Ecommerce experience required
  • Ability to collaborate with strategic partners and internal teams across multiple international time zones
  • Proven analytical and strategic experience with the ability to embrace the challenge of dramatically increasing Ecommerce revenue
  • Strong decision-making skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and development strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of Ecommerce product flow and web store performance optimization
  • Strong quantitative ability and comfort with data driven decision processes; a strong understanding of the key metrics to drive the business is expected of this executive
  • Proven track record as a strong leader that delivers against business objectives
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across lines of business
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Detail-oriented, operationally-focused, strong written and verbal communications

Educational Background:

  • BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience working in a consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry strongly preferred
  • Experience developing or driving a global business
  • Asian language fluency and cultural knowledge +
