Essential Functions:

The Bioanalytical Sciences (BAS) group within Janssen BioTherapeutics (JBIO) develops laboratory assays to measure pharmacokinetic (PK), anti-drug antibody (ADA) and neutralizing antibody (NAb) responses in biological matrices, and the in vivo interaction of biopharmaceutical drugs with their protein targets, both on cell surfaces (receptor occupancy, RO) and in soluble forms (soluble target engagement, sTE). These assays are used to perform bioanalysis on non-clinical and clinical studies that enable drug candidate selection, human dosage recommendation, and support PK, immunogenicity, safety and efficacy analyses in clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform assigned bioanalysis tasks with decreasing level of supervisor’s assistance
  2. Provide input for scientific experiments, analyze data and identify problems where applicable
  3. Maintain accurate record keeping and experimental data with the use of data analysis packages and standard databases
  4. Draft technical or study-related documents and contribute to information management
  5. Project Management
  6. Identify equipment errors/issues and know who to contact to remediate
  7. Assist in developing recommendations for improving standard processes/procedures (e.g. identify gaps in processes and propose solutions)
  8. Maintain Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance for all work and documentation

Qualifications
  • M.S. with 3-5 years of relevant experience or a B.S./B.A. with 4-8 years of experience, performing progressively advanced duties at the Associate Scientist I level, or the equivalent training/experience
  • Experience with MesoScale Discovery®, GYROS®, Hamilton Liquid Automation platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with the Watson Laboratory Information System and an electronic notebook is a plus.
