Specifically, you will work for eBay Classifieds Group (eCG), an innovative leader in online classifieds with major brands that span the globe, in the Italian business (Automobile.it). The role is based in Milan

To enable data driven decision-making in all parts of our development process, we are recruiting for a skilled results-oriented Senior Product & Data Analyst that can both help us get the needed analyses done, as well as bring the teams knowledge to the next level.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Be the data evangelist that works with our Product team, engineers, data scientists and other analysts to ensure we make the best use of available data to drive product features that support our objectives
• Collaborate with the Product team to design A/B experiments and validate the impact of the new initiatives
• Help the overall team decide what data to gather and store, how to model it and set it up in such a way that we can use this data to improve customer experience and find commercial opportunities
• Monitoring key product metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics
• Build models to forecast key business metrics - traffic, conversion, engagement - and develop critical metrics to measure initiative performance
• Join a global network of analysts and data scientists across different eBay Classifieds businesses sharing knowledge and developing shared standards around analysis, measurement and reporting of product analytics.

REQUIREMENTS :

• 2+ years of experience in data science or analytics environment
• Strong communicator and fluent in English
• Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Economics)
• Deep understanding of fundamentals of probability and statistics and site experimentation (A/B testing)
• Experience with machine learning, predictive modelling, econometrics, or casual inference
• Experience with Google Analytics and Tag Manager
• Experience with SQL as well as distributed technologies (Hive, Hadoop and Spark)
• Hands-on experience working on very large data sets in R and/or Python
• Prior experience working with multidisciplinary development teams and/or an online environment is a plus
