Nielsen’s Audio Product team is looking for a skilled professional to join as a Product Manager, New Initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Audio audience measurement product family as we extend our services for media companies, advertisers, and agencies.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU

As the Product Manager, you have experience in an Agile environment and are hungry to learn. You are a team player who is collaborative, positive, and driven. You are confident in your roadmapping abilities, and are able to pivot to changes as needed with your team. You have multiple years of product management, familiar with Media and Audio, and are not only passionate about the products you are leading but also about helping the team you are working with.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Audio Product Line Managers to execute strategy against the goals of expanding measurement services, either in the measurement solution space or data integration space.
  • Own the program plans for New Initiatives as designated and directed by the Audio Product Line Managers.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with engineers, data scientists, vendors, product marketing, and business development to plan, develop, and deliver products.
  • Live and breathe agile product development practices across our product, technology, and data science teams.
  • Function as Product Manager with the Scrum teams by developing user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and roadmaps.
  • Regularly review the competitive landscape and analyze client feedback to improve product features and capabilities.
  • Be the subject matter expert on the product and/or New Initiative. Potentially demo to prospective clients and answer queries from current clients.
  • Light travel required - less than 25%

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of Product management experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience managing midsize to large projects with multiple stakeholders, identifying key milestones, risks and assumptions, and measuring success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Understanding of marketing / media analytics, including domain expertise in any of the following areas would be a plus:

  • Media and / or Audio industry segments including Terrestrial Radio, Digital Audio Streaming, and Podcasting, with a focus on content as well as distribution technologies, apps, and devices.
  • Audience measurement and Targeting (e.g. reach and frequency measurement, audience segmentation, programmatic activation)
  • Marketing effectiveness measurement (e.g. attribution measurement, marketing mix modeling, sales lift measurement)
  • Strategic and tactical media planning (e.g. budget allocation, building cross platform or channel-specific media plans)
  • Technical knowledge of cross-platform media / behavior measurement technologies and data, including any of the following:
    • Media panels and consumer research
    • Data matching methods
    • Familiarity with statistical modeling / machine learning techniques
    • Familiarity Atlassian, Google Suite, or other Agile Performance Tools
