What we’ll do together...
As the Senior Scientist, Biostatistics you will work along with the Statistical Manager to develop statistical analysis plans and determine appropriate statistical methodology for data analysis as part of the study protocol. You’ll participate in blind review meetings to ensure the data evaluated are in high quality and satisfy analysis requirements in alignment with the study protocol for studies in the field of skin care, hair care and make-up for all brands, with a focus on exploring and evaluating the landscape of data, tools and statistical modeling techniques.
What your day will look like...
Collaborate with the statistical programming outside vendors to ensure all programs meet analysis requirements, internal standard operating procedures, and external regulatory requirements when it’s necessary.
Analyze data and interpret results from clinical trials to meet objectives of the study protocol. Independently apply and implement basic and complex techniques to these analyses.
Generate internal reports to effectively communicate results of clinical trials to the project team, management, regulatory agencies, or internal individual investigators. Provide responses to queries related to study design, analysis, and interpretation posed by the clinical monitors, regulatory agencies, and/or investigators.
Participate in L’Oreal Research worldwide activities for innovative methods and applications in the field of clinical trials, biostatistics.
What you’ll need...
Bachelor’s in statistics or related discipline with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or Master's in statistics / biostatistics or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in clinical trials as programmer. Or PhD in Statistics / biostatistics or related discipline with 1 year of relevant experience in clinical trials as programmer. Candidates with more experience will be positioned appropriately.
Extensive experience in statistical programming using R and SAS as primary languages.
Knowledge of statistical inference, factorial technics as well as probabilistic approaches: mixed models, repeated measurements, linear generalized models, logistic regressions, survival analysis, time series, linear and nonlinear regression models, clustering, dimensionality reduction, Bayesian statistics.
Good listening, oral and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively with personnel with different functional background such as Advanced Research, Product Evaluation and Development laboratories. Demonstrate strong interest in statistical research activities and in application of novel methods to clinical trial innovative projects.
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work effectively and independently in unstructured environments.
It would be a plus if you have a chemistry or microbiology background. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms using R and/or Python.
