We are looking for an excellent candidate to join our public policy campaign team to serve as a Community Campaigner for our team in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on recruiting, training, managing, and mobilising supporters of home sharing and volunteers. You will be joining an amazing global team and will help shape this exciting program of community campaigning to influence the policy making process for the benefit of our host community. The role will be based in Sydney.

Responsibilities:

• Participating as an active member of Airbnb’s public policy campaign team
• Recruiting, training, and managing advocates of home sharing into self sustaining grassroots groups to support their right to share their homes
• Speak to hosts on the phone and face to face about their experiences hosting and to invite them to join neighbourhood home sharing associations
• Building a network of supporters and advocates in the local business community and other potential partners in neighbourhoods and cities
• Organizing meetings and events such as neighborhood meetings and trainings for hosts and supporters of home sharing
• Support our hosts to engage with the local, state and national policy making process
• Work with a range of online tools and enter data into relevant systems

Desired Qualities and Qualifications:

• Proven record of using community organizing in political campaign, non-profit, union, or other relevant settings
• Experience in data-informed campaigning with developed skills in online and field campaigns
• Be personable and able to connect with people in groups and in one on one settings
• Comfort with technology and using data to make decisions
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Meticulous organization skills
• A strong passion for home sharing
