Role Purpose

The Marketing Services department provides channels for pharmaceutical companies to deliver their content to HCPs and patients, through e-mail, direct mail and in partnership with technology providers. In addition, we provide technology and services to help patients adhere to their medicine regime and help companies interact with clinical systems to optimise the way their products are prescribed and dispensed.

This is a new role working as part of the Marketing Services Commercial Team, selling Marketing Services solutions to a defined set of clients mainly based in the UK, working closely with the Marketing Services Production Team, the client and third party service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for handling designated accounts, identifying and building relationships with key contacts, understanding their business issues and identifying opportunities to add value with Marketing Services solutions.
  • Working closely with the Production team, providing an accurate specification for each project and co-ordinating with the client and other third party organisations to ensure successful delivery.
  • Liaise with other commercial teams, in particular the Key Account Management team, to work jointly to build customer knowledge, gain access to customers and identify opportunities.
  • Effective and proactive communication to inspire client confidence, advising the client so they achieve maximum impact from their campaigns whilst complying with ABPI code of practice and data protection legislation.
  • Maintain an accurate revenue forecast
  • Ensure relevant documentation and processes are up to date and are adhered to.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Essential Experience

  • Proven sales expertise in a professional services environment.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly, both face to face but also remotely by skype, telephone and email.
  • Methodical approach to account planning and revenue forecasting
  • Knowledge of the NHS and / or Pharmaceutical Industry Sales and Marketing would be advantageous.

Technical Skills

  • English language is essential
  • Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Personal Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate determination and resilience
  • Relationship building and solution selling skills
  • Good team based interpersonal skills but essential to be able to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
