Job Description


Essential Responsibilities:

Ability to work from layouts, prints, specifications, route sheets and general instructions
Review requirements and select appropriate molds and fixtures and obtain necessary materials
Prepare work area to ensure clean working surface
Vacuum cycle the parts as required to evacuate air and humidity
Install parts in fixtures, create reservoir and install spacers as required
Mix specified compound per formula and written specifications, blending prescribed materials,
weighing and heating as prescribed
Prepare, fill, mold, and cure parts as specified in work instructions
Operate computerized ovens per specifications to ensure curing times and cycles are maintained
as required
Clean components to remove excess compound and flash and ensure cosmetic appearance
Check work at prescribed intervals to ensure compliance with operating standards
Use of hand tools, weight scale, molds, fixtures, vibrator, vacuum chamber, ovens, air gun,
solvents and arbor press
Calculate mixing ratios from work instructions
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work with hazardous materials
Ability to work in environment with fumes and chemicals
Perform shelf life audits daily as required
Subject to FAA/DOT random drug and alcohol screening as required
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Use of measurement devices (i.e. scales, calculators, rulers)
Basic computer skills
Basic verbal and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Basic ERP skills

Qualifications/Requirements:

Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products
and processes
High School Diploma or GED
