As a Professional Services Delivery Manager you will lead a team of highly skilled consultants and architects in our Central EMEA professional services team where you will drive and grow our business in the region. You will manage the coordination of strategic development of resources within the Professional Services organization, including approval of training plans, career development planning, conducting annual performance evaluations, coaching/counselling architects and consultants for their individual professional growth. In addition you will take over the business responsibility for a market segment, a country or a region.

Responsibilities:

• You will manage your team’s performance, evaluations, coaching/counselling for their professional growth according to our business plans
• Participate in your regions skills and resource planning as well as regional professional services business planning
• Take over the business responsibility for a customer segment, a country or region. This includes the delivery, revenue and margin responsibility.
• You will maintain in depth knowledge of VMware’s services offerings portfolio and delivery processes and contribute to service development and lead innovation in this area
• Supervise execution of projects and consulting engagements as well as managing escalations where required
• Cooperate with our services sales team and represent VMware professional services towards customers and partners
• Take responsibility to continuously improve and enhance our business – continuously innovate!

Required Skills & Experience:

• You hold a proven track record of successful delivery of enterprise IT projects
• You have several years of recent experience as a team manager for a consulting, delivery or technical team.
• You have worked five or more years for an IT vendor, system integrator or consulting company
• You know how to manage business responsibility for a country or region and have held responsibility for a P&L
• You hold a Masters degree or have the equivalent training and experience
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills and you are fluent in German and English languages. Fluency in Russian, Bulgarian, Czech or Polish are a strong advantage
• You have the flexibility to travel within the region up to 40% of the time
