Financial Accountant - Troy, MI

Job Description

Raytheon Professional Services is looking for a Principal Financial Accountant in their Troy, Michigan office. The primary responsibilities of this position are to maintain and consolidate trial balances from various countries, for analyzing and effectively communicating the results to corporate management. Additional tasks will be preparing forecasting results, and assisting in planning results based on those forecasts. Other responsibilities include preparing various internal financial reports, assisting or leading the implementation of new financial tools as well as assisting in the maintenance of various financial systems. This position will require the individual to be able to work closely with our Mexican subsidiary.
Required Skills:

• 6 years of experience as an accounting professional
• Working knowledge of multiple accounting software packages
• Previous experience consolidating multiple ledgers
• International accounting experience
• Accustomed to handling multiple assignments simultaneously
• Accounting/Finance software implementation experience
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to speak and write Spanish

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of month end close process
• Experience in working in an Oracle ERP system
• Working knowledge of Mexican statutory requirements
• Experience with a small sized CPA Firm
• Extended experience with Microsoft programs
• Experience with treatment of various taxes

Required Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• This position requires the successful candidate to report to the Troy, Michigan facility on a daily basis. Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
