The Intercom Brand Studio is looking for an illustrator who can push our brand into new territories. You’ll work with marketing, product, and workplace to bring our illustrations to life throughout our marketing channels, product, and internal environments.

Our San Francisco-based team of Brand Designers, Strategists, Illustrators, Writers, and Producers looks forward to having you help bring our brand to life both internally and externally. The Studio works on projects that span web/digital , print , environmental, physical goods, and everything in between.

The team is already doing a lot of great things, but we still have our best work in front of us. This will be an opportunity to really push yourself creatively and take a few risks.

What will I be doing? 🚀

• Create a holistic narrative using our existing brand illustration style
• Own the evolution of our brand illustration system and design language
• Design illustrations for marketing and product
• Help develop and define the Intercom brand
• Get a little weird. And then get weirder

What skills do I need? 📖

• 4-6 years of design experience with a portfolio showcasing illustration work
• In-house experience, building on an existing illustration system is a huge plus
• Strong conceptual skills, from high-level strategic direction down to small design details
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders the importance and role of illustration
• Proficiency in Adobe CC, Figma and animation experience a plus
• Excellent time management skills
• A growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity
