Role Summary:

The Staff Risk Analyst will be responsible for executing the cyber security and technology risk management programs for GE Aviation, including collaborating across the business to quantify risks, consulting on appropriate risk treatment, and translating cyber and technology risks to business impact. This role requires a strong understanding of risk management approaches that are applicable to enterprise digital technology.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute Cyber Security & Technology risk management programs for GE Aviation to cover the GE Aviation portfolio, obsolescence, resiliency, application recovery, etc.
  • Assess adequacy of security strategy, business continuity / disaster recovery plans, threats to systems, and calculate the impact of potential adverse events
  • Clearly document and define risks and potential impacts along with the probability of such an event and identify systems affected by the defined risk
  • Provide regular program updates to upper Management and Business Application Owners
  • Responsible for GE Aviation digital technology risk data analytics and operational performance dashboards
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders including division CIOs, and global IT security and compliance leaders
  • Stay knowledgeable of current advances in areas of information technology concerning vulnerabilities, security breaches or malicious attacks
  • Ability to connect the dots across domains and develop cross-domain security solutions
  • Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver security solutions for the business
  • Act as advisor, train, and coach to junior team members
  • May allocate and be responsible for the quality of work in others, including leading teams of teams to accomplish project deliverables
  • Please Note: Work Location listed is Van Buren Township, MI. However, this position may also be eligible at our Evendale, OH location

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or Information Technology from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Information Technology and Risk & Compliance
    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Please Note: Work Location listed is Van Buren Township, MI. However, this position may also be eligible at our Evendale, OH location

Desired Characteristics:

  • Familiar with industry regulations (SOX, GDPR, Export Control, FISMA, DCAA)
  • Knowledge and experience preparing IT controls-related audit documentation and validating to the NIST and ISO frameworks
  • Familiarity with SiSense, Spotfire, Tableau, and ServiceNow a plus
  • Knowledge of or experience in Agile methodology and concepts
  • Industry-recognized security certification, such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc., a plus
  • Comfortable and effective working in areas that require rapid problem solving, continuous learning
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to technical and management audience
