Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

define the S&OP strucutre for our Business Category Imaging Components as this is a new position and process. As Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) Manager, you will be responsible to bring supply and demand together for Business Category. Your challenge is to do this in such a way that we deliver to our customers on time and always, whilst managing our inventories to the lowest possible level.

You are responsible for

  • Managing the monthly medium/long term planning process and the weekly supply-demand planning process in order to prepare in-time for capacity creation/reduction and the procurement of long-lead-time components
  • Conducting scenario planning and risk analysis
  • Managing the integral inventory levels of the BIU with objective to realize the availability targets.
  • Managing phasing in / phasing out in close cooperation with product/marketing management and the industrial project team. The aim is to introduce new products in-time and phase-out products without obsolete finished products and components.
  • Preparing suppliers/factories for long term sales plans
  • Defining and agreeing on availability performance and inventories
  • On behalf of the BIU, facilitating the S&OP process, by teaming up with factories, supply centers and markets
  • Deploying the single agreed plan to all functions
  • Initiating and participating in BIU and supply chain improvement processes
  • Defining opportunities for improvement driven by operational excellence, customer satisfaction and cost reduction
  • Driving implementation efficiently utilizing team resources and in close collaboration with other functions and departments
  • Contributing to the SCM strategy of the BIU
  • Together with SC Engineering defining future supply chain set up for new products

You are a part of

our Business Unit Imaging Components which develops, manufactures and sells components like tubes, generators, magnets and coils for Philips systems, but also for other OEM system manufacturers. Imaging Components is part of BG Diagnostic Imaging and forms a strategic driver for growth and productivity within the Philips Healthtech business.

You will be working with colleagues from our sites in USA, China and Netherlands and Hamburg, Germany in fulfilling this challenge.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in an international matrix organization, e.g. S&OP, Logistics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or similar
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to do data analysis and come to fact-based conclusions from various data input sources
  • Eager to challenge status quo and reach ambitious goals
  • Ability to indirectly lead international, cross-functional, and teams
  • Experience working and communicating in a multi-location, multi-country, multi-cultural business
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships, communicating and coordinating with (sr.) stakeholders, being absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set, autonomous, independent working, pro-active problem solving
  • Proficient in English language, German would be a plus
