Join our team as Associate Video Producer to help us create compelling custom travel content for Viator and TripAdvisor brands. The Associate Producer will assist the Executive Producer on projects, as well as manage productions independently.

The TripAdvisor family of brands distributes video content on every social platform. We create content specific to KPIs, and capture amazing travel experiences for our viewers to get inspired. The Associate Producer is responsible for executing scalable, affordable, and evergreen videos for various teams across the TripAdvisor Experiences business unit. As a content creator, they have experience executing high quality digital video, optimized for distribution on our owned and operated sites and apps and social media channels – both desktop and mobile. The Associate Producer is capable of producing for a variety of brand identities within the TAMG group. They have a comprehensive grasp of the digital marketing industry and digital video best practices, end-to-end from creative pitch to digital distribution.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills. S/he will research, pitch, write, and oversee the shooting, editing and publishing of videos – working on multiple projects at once in various stages of the production and editorial process. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism through hard work, integrity, optimism and enthusiasm.

Your Responsibilities

• Write scripts and produce stories covering a range of different travel topics – world knowledge and geography skills a plus
• Archival and user-generated footage research
• Write social copy optimized for each video platform
• Assist the Executive Producer in planning shoots, developing series, and researching new content ideas
• Curate music tracks and supervise music scoring of short videos
• Fact checking and quality control
• Translate ideas from other teams into successful videos, often leveraging your strong writing skills.
• Oversee the design and implementation of motion graphics packaging and custom versions for each distribution channel (e.g. facebook, product page, IGTV, etc).
• Collaborate extensively with other video production professionals including editors, graphic designers, motion graphics designers, camera operators & DPs, Directors, lighting & sound crews.
• Manage below-the-line budgets.
• Revise work based on internal and client feedback, with ease and grace.
• Ensure that videos are executed and delivered according to project scope, and provide quality assurance against brand guidelines.
• Report and cross-communicate on project status on a regular basis to all project stakeholders to manage expectations effectively.
• Obtain proper approvals and alignment for project activities from the integrated team.

What We Seek

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in video or related creative field
• 3+ years of creative/production role with branded content experience, agency experience, or similar environment
• Talented writer and visual storyteller
• Experience as an editor of short form video
• Familiarity with sourcing and editing together music tracks with the right tone for a brand or story
• Expert Adobe creative suite skills
• Must be a self-starter and have a robust understanding of the technical production and post-production processes
• Consumer of and expert in producing for digital and social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter and Snapchat – for both mobile and desktop experience.
• Strong commitment to delivering high quality, strategy-driven creative work.
• Solid understanding of project management methodology including the ability to develop detailed project plans, budgets, status reports etc. in coordination with Production Manager of Video Department.
• Superb eye for visual composition, motion, motion graphics, and an ear for music – an ability to catch small flaws and details in the final approval process.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and influencing, listening, decision making and prioritization skills.
• Experience working with post production professionals, inspiring great work and leveraging their time wisely and effectively.
• Detail oriented with the ability to adapt to last-minute changes with ease; responds quickly to re-prioritizations, and has a levelheaded communication style.
• A positive and collaborative attitude that contributes to team’s overall success.
• Willingness to travel to anywhere in the world. Experienced traveler required; Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
