This position for an experienced Field Service professional. Improves direct communications with customers and field team members. Analyzes and interprets test information to resolve moderate design/system related problems. Develops specialized product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures. May contact and meet customers ona daily basis.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
  • Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific product specifications.
  • Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided or outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
  • Communicates technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and meets customers daily or as required to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.
  • Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
  • Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An understanding CAD and parametric solid modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Proficient using MS Office suit (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • The ability to be customer-focused and able to interface and work effectively with commercial airline customers and commercial aircraft OEM's.
