Position Summary

Researches, writes, edits, and produces training materials for classroom and/or computer-based delivery. Applies a working knowledge of CDK products, process and/or skill sets and a strong understanding of dealership operations and our Industry to all designs. Has a strong understanding of how to use the software used for learning design and development, and our development standards.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

• Analyze training needs to acquire information needed to plan for instructional deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings, conduct research and conduct interviews to understand learner needs.
• Share work with subject matter experts, business stakeholders and peers for regular review and feedback.
• Develop learning deliverables using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, MadCap Flare, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Maintain project documentation and utilize standard processes and templates.
• Collaborate and consult with other team members.
• Mentor Jr. Level Learning Experience Designers sharing best practices and opportunities for innovation as well as providing feedback on designs.
• Participate in quality improvement and/or organization wide initiatives.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• 5-7 years’ experience or a Master’s Degree in Adult Education or related field.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the learning design process and learning development software.
• Working knowledge of dealership operations and the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and learning best practices
• Advanced knowledge of assigned products, process and audience
• Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to solve problems (pivoting when needed) in a creative yet organized manner
• Strong technical background or aptitude
