The Moogsoft Finance team is searching for our perfect Senior Accountant. Do you have a passion for high-growth start-ups and have excellent technical accounting skills? This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and work closely with partners in the Sales and HR teams to ensure accurate recording of transactions. You will participate in, and help develop, an efficient close process, facilitate annual audits, work cross functionally on various projects, and play an important role in supporting financial operations. You will...

• Participate in month-end closing procedures in all areas of accounting
• Review GL entries and ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Implement new lease accounting policy
• Help ensure 606 compliance
• Review and maintain stock option records
• Assist with ad hoc flux analysis
• Prepare audit support schedules Assist with system implementations and/or system enhancements.
• Work cross functionally with internal teams, as well as external teams, to drive high quality reporting results

You have...

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus
• Working ideally for a SaaS or Software Company
• Working knowledge of Stock Based Comp - ASC718 and 606 Revenue Recognition
• 6+ years of experience with a preference to candidates with audit experience.
• Solid balance sheet reconciliation experience, with an acumen for debits and credits
• Technically savvy with software systems (such as Netsuite, Salesforce, Mineral Tree, Expensify, Avalara, Carta, Excel)
• Strong customer service orientation, including excellent oral and written communication skills
• Examples of being self-sufficient in reviewing work and ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completion
• Strong time management skills and are proactive
