What You’ll DoAs a Product Designer at Brandless, you will be involved in many aspects of our process to build compelling web and mobile experiences for our customers, from ideation to prototyping, user testing, and development. We are looking for an ambitious and inventive individual with strong product, interaction, and visual design skills.
You'll be working alongside a diverse and multi-faceted team on new projects that lie at the intersection of commerce, editorial, and technology in emerging areas such as CBD and direct-to-consumer products. We'd like you to be prepared to challenge existing assumptions and have a multiplicative effect on the teams around you.
How You’ll Create Impact

• Redefine the boundaries of shopping experiences on mobile devices and the web
• Articulate complex customer challenges and motivations, and distill simple and elegant solutions to address them
• Participate in ideation and storyboarding exercises with product managers, creatives, and other product designers
• Conduct and run user testing sessions to validate the efficacy of proposed solutions
• Prototype new products and produce high-fidelity deliverables that galvanize the Brandless team and simplifies implementation
• Forge a positive relationship with engineering to ensure the shipping implementation matches the intended design
• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment and continuously improve the inter-team process with product managers, product designers, engineers, content strategists, and creatives

What You’ll Need

• 4 or more years of experience crafting and shipping products for the web or mobile
• The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
• A deep understanding of interaction design, exacting attention to detail, and a strong intuition for composition and balance
• Excellent communication and copywriting skills—you should be able to clearly articulate design decisions to a range of product and feature owners
• Some experience in front-end development—ability to code a simple website
• A strong portfolio of product design work!
• Must be currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area
