Job Description
Neighborhoods.com is seeking an experienced
P roduct Design Lead to take on the leadership of our design team that encompasses our two core brands, Neighborhoods.com and 55places.com. The Lead will be responsible for leading the consistency, direction, and scalability of the brands, products, and iOS apps. The lead will also be responsible for the coaching and development of design team members. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Engineering, you will be an expert on our user personas, business metrics, campaign strategy, competitive landscape, product design and contribute to product strategy and planning.

What you’ll be doing as a Product Design Lead:
- Building a design team and design culture that incorporates, design vision, process, feedback and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Be an individual contributor dedicated to the 55places.com brand as well as a consultant and advocate as a lead for the Neighborhoods.com brand
- Applying your UI and UX expertise to an established consumer-facing product with a lot of opportunity for improvement.
- Defining problems and goals, mapping user flows, and lo-fi and hi-fi prototyping interactions.
- Creating end-to-end solutions through ideation, wireframing, design iteration, and close collaboration with Engineers and User Research.
- Getting to know the hopes, dreams, and quirks of our user base, then creating elegant yet practical solutions to meet their needs.
- Closely collaborating with other disciplines to ensure smooth delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Basic requirements:
- Minimum 2 years product design lead experience
- Have hands-on experience in the redesign and implementation of a B2C .com property
- Have experience in designing and implementing a B2C iOS application
- Have implemented and maintained design style guides and systems
- A minimum of 8 years in a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer role
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Advanced skills in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, or other collaborative design software
- Work samples that exhibit a diverse range of skills in user experience and visual design. An up-to-date digital portfolio is required for consideration
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and high fidelity deliverables
- A deep-level understanding of A/B testing and data analytics
Bonus points if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Product Design, Interactive Design or other related fields.
- Experience with user research, conducting surveys, and synthesizing insights
- Experience or understanding of Agile methodology
- Experience leveraging motion, animation, and transitions to convey a message
- Experience building a design practice
- An interest in the real estate industry
