Fundamental Components: Aetna Digital is looking to add a Software Engineer to their team in Alpharetta, GA . This Engineer will work with a cross-functional team, uses agile practices, writes, debugs , and delivers code. Collaborates with stakeholders from User Experience, Architecture, and Operations. Identifies and fixes problems in code. Produces solid, thoroughly tested features.
This position needs to have a solid understanding in developing, testing, deploying and maintaining mobile/web applications using IBM Integration Bus (IIB). Also has experience in configuring JDBC & ODBC connections for applications at different environment levels. Perform unit testing of applications and modules build as part of feature delivery. Background Experience: Experience with running code in production through testing and deployment.
Experience getting code ready for production through testing and deployment.
Ability to produce solid code and thoroughly tested features, including automated unit tests.
Solid hands on experience in developing, testing, deploying and maintaining mobile/web applications using IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
Experience in developing message flows using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) to act as service provider/consumer for hosting and calling Web Services.
Good exposure to developing REST services that performs GET, PUT, UPDATE and DELETE operations.
Unit testing different services end points using SoapUI and POSTMAN and debugging message flows for error detection and monitoring.
Setting and running load tests for IIB web services using ReadyAPI tool to support performance improvement.
Configure JDBC and ODBC connections at different environment levels
Testing/Supporting at the time of applications/database version upgrades.
Setting up test data on Dev/QA environments using Oracle SQL developer.
QA testing the applications with all possible scenarios/test data, reporting defects and documenting the results.
Good Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Participate in PI and Sprint Planning activities, demos, retrospectives and Agile ceremonies
Perform requirements gathering, analysis of business requirements and build low level and high level designs
Hands on knowledge on Splunk
Experience in working with Jenkins for build and deployment and GITHub for version control
Ability to troubleshoot applications and provide/recommend fixes
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
