This position is responsible for the operational oversight of the various corporate Storage Area Networks and data protection appliances within HP. Responsibilities will include providing SME consulting with internal teams as well as external service providers, overseeing build, configuration and change management and assisting with problem resolution and root cause analysis and remediation. This position requires someone who has deep experience with Fibre Channel technology and Brocade switches, HPE XP, 3PAR and Nimble arrays, StoreOnce appliances, data protection solutions as well as someone who is detail oriented, who communicates well and who can work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participates as a member of and leads cross-functional teams. Oversees/leads build, config, change and support activities. Provides mentoring and guidance to other support engineers.
• Applies in-depth and broad technical knowledge to provide solutions across multiple technology areas. Conceptualizes and implements infrastructure solutions to solve complex issues. Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for HP and customers.
• Demonstrates technical leadership, and exerts influence outside of immediate team. Mentors and consults with team members and other organizations, customer and vendors on complex issues. Represents HP IT to clients/customers. Contributes to strategic direction for HP IT.

Education and Experience Required:

• Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• 5 or more years of experience with HPE Storage Technology, including XP-class, 3PAR and Nimble arrays as well as StoreOnce appliances
• Advanced understanding of Fibre Channel technology, including Brocade switches
• Advanced understanding of SAN-based replication, include CA/HORM
• Advanced understanding of backup methodology as well as industry-leading BUR software
• General Project Management. Customer/ Vendor Management. Business Analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated technical leadership skills
