Analytics and Business Insight (ABI) is a smart, fun team of 140+ that provide quantitative decision support to multiple business units across Schwab. We help our business partners better understand the needs and behaviors of our prospects and clients through analytics, data science, market research, and business intelligence.

What you’re good at

The Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics Consultant will primarily partner with the marketing teams and help develop, measure, and optimize cross channel marketing strategies. He/ she will act as an internal strategy consultant to key marketing business partner’s, internal marketing analytics, data science teams to build stories and deliver strategic insights based on statistical and econometric analyses.

  • Develop strategic insights from our current media mix and cross channel attribution models to build compelling storyline and presentations for marketing leadership
  • Work with Analytics Lead to manage stakeholder relationships with all marketing teams in building precise analytics use cases from ambiguous problem definitions
  • Support business decisions by building what-if scenarios , spend recommendations and trade off analysis
  • Work cross functionally to understand analytics work done across various teams and help build an overall marketing analytics narrative
  • Provide strategic thinking in Media Mix Optimization process for model improvements and process efficiencies
  • Validate model results and make sure results are aligned with business expectations and outcomes
  • Research on industry best practices for Media Mix Optimization to improve our existing models

What you have

Analysis: you know the difference between correlation and causation and the right analytical methods to prove causality when needed, estimate it when you can't, or choose a simpler approach because you don’t need it.

Presentation: you are comfortable building crisp storyline and be able to building solid presentations to convey recommendations

Data visualization: you excel at creating rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to leaders, and make data-driven stories come to life through visuals

Business acumen: you understand the bigger picture for customers and the business and know how to probe beyond stakeholders’ stated requests to really understand their needs and the value of information.

  • B.S. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering or similar quantitative field
  • 7+ years’ of experience in an analytical role (consulting to external clients and/or internal business partners)
  • Deep understating of marketing measurement techniques including media mix optimization , multi-touch attribution and testing
  • Understanding of statistical models and basic proficiency with statistical and data management tools (R , SQL)

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience using statistics and building statistical models to solve complex business problems
  • Experience with marketing measurement for long terms and brand effects
  • Experience in financial services is a plus but not a requirement
