Summary
Responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives. Assists with all aspects of health services staffing, competency, processes, customer service, and quality improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage the administrative and operational activities of onsite clinic and occupational health services.
• Assure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations,
• Ensure high quality service of daily clinic operations, inventory management, medical equipment and First Aid Kits ordering, stock control, and regular maintenance.
• Responsible for securing and developing all Occupational records, equipment, and programs related to occupational health services
• Collaborate with outside resources for program development, such as healthcare providers, third-party administrators, legal advisors, medical director, regulatory agencies, etc.
Responsible for assuring the appropriate access and utilization of healthcare services
• Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent.
• Guide and direct all referrals to outside healthcare providers and services
Provide or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirement; such as OSHA, DoT, CDC, etc.
Administer the company’s Occupational Health Program, such as Medical Emergency Response, Ergonomic, Incident Management and Recordkeeping, Hearing Conservation, Hearing Conservation, Food and water safety, First Aid training , etc.
Provide appropriate case management
• Manage all cases to facilitate productivity, assuring appropriate care
• Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work, maintain Health s surveillance / OSHA records/ reports and worker medical files
Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety, Operations, and Human Resources to develop operations, programs, and services by providing content expertise. • Contribute in the design of controls for injury prevention and health surveillance related to actual and potential hazards in the work environment.
• Assisting in design and develop primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and health promotion plan.
Education and/or Experience
Active nursing license as registered nurse. Bachelor’s degree.
3-5 years’ experience occupational Health
Certification in occupational health or case management preferred.
Understanding of regulations applicable to occupational health and safety.
Language Skills
Strong ability to oral communication and recording routine reports and correspondence in English.
Computer Skills
Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situation.
