Regional Delivery Manager- Wayfair Delivers

Job Description

Wayfair is redefining the way customers buy online and one of the key pillars of that strategy is to create a truly differentiated customer experience for large parcel items (e.g., couches, vanities). To enable this differentiated experience, Wayfair is investing heavily to create the first-ever national large parcel supply chain all the way to the consumer’s home. Wayfair Delivers is an exciting, fast-paced, and high-visibility initiative focusing on the final mile of the supply chain. We are looking for team members who can help disrupt the status quo and redefine an industry through the ultimate home delivery.

What You'll Do

• You will hire and train a team of driver managers to build a regional offering for a new initiative
• You will be a thought leader around operational improvement opportunities and partner cross functionally with compliance, technology and others to drive change
• You will define a set of norms across the region driving a customer centric approach and continued development for both the team of managers but also their drivers
• You will partner with cross functional teams to create incentive programs for driver teams that drive performance across all locations in the region
• You will develop vision and drive technology strategy to enable end-vision
• You will build performance scorecards & drive performance to hit operational KPIs

What You'll Need

• Proven track record of creating and developing high-performing teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with box trucks and managing drivers
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to successfully build partnerships and cultivate new ideas
• DOT familiarity and experience managing DQ files
• Training in driver safety
