Job Description

  • Environment At Hewlett-Packard (HP), PSGO supply chain is responsible for setting up and managing a network of factories, and for fulfilling customer demand for retail, channel and direct Go- to- markets. Within supply chain organization, the Operation Engineering team is made of Engineers and product data professionals who are responsible for the good quality of products manufactured in the factories (Desktop PCs, Thin clients, All-in-Ones, Notebooks, displays and bundles, Workstations, Accessories, tablets). Job description You will be responsible for the production quality of several PC products lines in Foxconn CZ Pardubice factory for HP.
  • Infrastructure Quality
    • Qualify new production lines.
    • Validate production tools setup (servers, network, machines, environment).
    • Perform recurrent audits on shop floor.
  • Daily production Quality
    • Identify blocked orders and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
    • Identify quality issues, share analysis with factory staff and ensure implementation of permanent corrective actions.
    • Perform necessary interactions with China factories, and HP teams.
    • Perform quality reporting.
    • Deliver production line readiness reporting and quality measurements.
    • Handle daily interactions with factory staff (since sitting in the factory).
    • Interact with Customer Support organization.
  • Quality System
    • Define inspection sampling rates and ensure proper implementation and reporting.
    • Inspect and influence production processes.
    • Perform recurrent Manufacturing audits.
    • Follow quality indicators (field, factory) and take actions.
    • Drive factory processes and tools adjustments that contribute to increasing quality and reducing time and cost of manufacturing. Support HP Customer visits in factory (Quality presentation, technical counsel).
  • Profile. Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial), Minimum 5 years of experience of manufacturing activity in electronic devices domain (preferred in high-tech industry, high volume production), Knowledge of Electronics Industry Usual Quality standards and practices, Experience of Lean Six Sigma tools, Ability to manage projects, Ability to interact with technical teams, Solid technical/product knowledge (hardware/software, electronics/mechanical), Good ability to analyze and to summarize. Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common product and engineering change management issues. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate risk assessment and action. Fluent in English and local language, written and spoken. The job will require remote interactions with USA, Europe, China and Taiwan.
