Staff Product Designer

Job Description

Design and develop the user experience for the next generation of VMware software products and solutions. Work independently to analyze information and user needs and design the workflows, wireframes, prototypes, sketches, and final delivery mock-ups to illustrate design solutions working on complex issues requiring advanced evaluation of variable factors. Utilize professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Work with cross-functional teams including engineers, programmers, analysts, and others to interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, and drive end-to-end product design from concept to implementation/delivery. Design and/or customize software to optimize operational efficiency in cloud-based environments. Exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. In connection with the above duties, apply knowledge and/or skills of UX and UI (User Experience and User Interface) design; creating prototypes, document usage guidelines, and libraries for design teams and delivering multiple product designs; cloud technologies; Design tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch; Prototyping tools: Invision App, Axure, Figma, Adobe Experience Design (Adobe XD); Wireframing tools: Balsamic; User research tools: FullStory, Airtable.
