Job Description

The Wealth Management Data Engineering group delivers a global dataset for online real time applications and large scale analytics applications. Our core product is a curated, harmonized dataset that enables building innovative applications leveraging big data technologies and golden source data.
We are recruiting for a talented and dynamic Data Engineering Program Manager to lead multiple streams of work (Digital Platform provisioning, Legacy Data Store Migration, etc.) across the Data Platform program.

The Data Engineering Program Manager will work in close collaboration with stakeholders, source applications, data engineers, testers and subject matter experts to define, organize and manage the vision, roadmap and delivery of data solutions.
Role :

  • Lead multiple streams of work (Data Store migration, Digital etc.) within the Data Platform program of work
  • Own the prioritisation of work within these streams
  • Communication with technology stakeholders, CDO and application teams on the progress
  • Define product backlog for data products you own, prioritize features, and define methodology for final acceptance of product
  • Explain analytical solutions to the users to analyze data sets
  • Demo data products to internal and external customers using , Own quality of dataset deliverables
  • Proactively collaborate with upstream data providers and downstream consumers to prepare roadmap and plan
  • Create a distributed data repository on top of Hadoop
  • Source data from golden or authoritative data sources
  • Provide a framework to process the data

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of asset management/wealth management domain
  • Functional knowledge of bookkeeping/corporate actions/IBOR background
  • Deep understanding of data analytics, data profiling, data modeling, data mining, data integration and passion for modern data driven applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies to ensure the early and continuous delivery of software
  • Experience analyzing source, target systems, transformation rules, writing functional and technical specs
  • Running multiple programs simultaneously
  • Direct Team Management experience
  • Strong Knowledge of data extraction transformation ( ETL, ELT ) processes
  • Understanding of big data solutions: storage, processing technologies and non-relational database technologies including: Hadoop, Spark, Hbase/Cassandra, Spark, Pig and Hive
  • Experience using data visualization, dashboard, reporting tools like Qlik, Tableau, Micro strategy
  • High energy, demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, and takes pride in how fast they develop working software
  • Must be self-directed/self-motivated with a clear sense of ownership and a solution oriented approach
