Facebook is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to focus on business operations within the Infrastructure Data Center Site Services organization. Site Services enables our data centers to operate safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will partner closely with and take direction from the Site Services Budget Analyst / Cost Manager to thoroughly understand technical programs, projects, operations and execute on assigned deliverables. Using this knowledge, the Finance Operations Analyst will develop short and long-range financial forecasts and will be responsible for producing financial summaries that provide strategic insight into the business’ performance. Additionally, the Finance Operations Analyst should be willing to work diligently on fundamental financial processes to ensure smooth business operations including purchase requisitions, invoicing, and management of purchase orders, contracts/SOWs/SLAs. An ideal candidate will comfortable working with strategic and tactical guidance to independently deliver high quality products and will be comfortable operating in high-growth environments. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct financial data extraction, analysis and reporting for organizations engaged in supply chain and engineering operations
  • Build and automate visual mapping/actionable models for the team's financial program
  • Actively facilitate budget preparation across multiple stakeholders in variable time zones
  • Support the development of 5+ year budget forecasts based on long-range plans
  • Support quarterly budget refreshes based on changes in short term plan assumptions
  • Support month, quarter and year end close processes – accruals, financial data consolidation and reporting for fixed and variable purchase orders, services, and site operations
  • Review purchase requisitions and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial plan
  • Aggregate budget inputs, assumptions and information
  • Conduct program review sessions to assess quality of inputs and synchronize teams' financial goals
  • Produce dashboards, tracking mechanisms, reporting and presentations to analyze, report on and capture key indicators of program financial health
  • Review all funding requests for merit
  • Conduct the purchase request process and arrange funding for purchase order line items based on projected spend
  • Serve as a liaison with Sourcing and AP for the cradle to grave management of purchase orders and requisitions
  • Work with vendor on boarding, accounts payable, financial planning and analysis and supply chain teams to manage the end-to-end process of vendor payments per net terms
  • Inform program managers of the status and availability of funds on purchase orders
  • Act to prevent invoice holds and, where required, root cause and resolve payment issues
  • Create tools and presentations for program managers that effectively communicate their budget vs spend results, variations and recommended changes to reconcile the differences
  • Eagerness to work on multiple, simultaneous projects with the ability to balance priorities and exercise time management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Finance, Business or equivalent experience
  • Excel experience for the use of financial modeling
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience working in a technical environment
  • Experience working across multiple internal business organizations and with external business partners
  • Experience innovating process and system development and implementation
  • Communication and presentation experience
  • Experience in analytics tools and systems (i.e.: Tableau, Oracle, Essbase, MySQL, Custom API’s)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with procurement and sourcing operations
  • Experience reporting and visualizations in Tableau or similar tool
  • Data analytics experience using a programming language (R or Python)
  • Experience supporting finance teams in provision of data for financial analytics & reporting
