Job Description

The Marketplace Brand Compliance position is an individual contributor position within the Omni-Channel Services Organization which covers HP Personal Systems, Printing Hardware and Printing Supplies. In this exciting new position, the Marketplace Brand Compliance individual is part of a marketplace team, working directly with Amazon Brand Registry to insure the marketplace is delivering best-in-class customer experiences and HP’s brand is presented appropriately. This individual will use the Amazon’s Brand Registry tools, to insure all trademarks, copyrights, content and Intellectual property are protected. A strong background in data analysis, Microsoft Excel (or similar), research, writing and business communication are all critical skills for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the overall Marketplace Brand Management Compliance Program for all online marketplaces, working across all HP product groups.
  • Directly works with Marketplace partners to integrate HP’s brand protection strategies and policies into the platforms (partner-facing position).
  • This job will require a candidate to successfully operate across divisions and business units to improve brand compliance results.
  • Establishes partner relationships and represents program with account teams.
  • Works across countries using tools where translation is available. Links results to proactively identify and resolve issues across countries.
  • Central point of contact for supporting HP functions like anti-counterfeit and businesses leveraging internal tools and/or agencies that manage the tactical implementation of programs on the platforms.
  • Works with HP's outside brand protection vendors to ensure the most effective and efficient system is in place and tailored to specific needs to detect and enforce against infringements.
  • Interacts with marketplace providers to monitor for infringement, fix and escalate incorrect listing contributions and variations, and remove listings.
  • Work closely with sales to manage these issues consistent with overall business objectives for HP’s relationship with the marketplace.
  • Produce reporting, generate statistics, maintain records, and identify patterns to inform brand protection strategy.
  • Assist in developing additional strategies to maintain brand health and improve customer experiences online.
  • Maintain a strong sense of confidentiality and respect regarding sensitive company processes and information.
  • Responsible for attending and facilitating cross-functional meetings, governing the timing and action, identifying risks and delays, driving accountability, and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Accountable for conducting analysis on brand performance, which includes ongoing tracking of key metrics to inform action.
  • Empower decision making by delivering learning in simple, story like fashion. Provide clear, actionable choice points and recommendations to design strategies/tactics to improve brand health.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience working with data & data analysis to inform decision making
  • Ability to deliver reports and presentations to a high standard
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central and Brand Registry is a bonus
  • Strong knowledge of the HP product catalogs across categories
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of ecommerce processes and the online retail industry as a whole
  • Proven ability to deliver tasks and assignments in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a reliable and professional manner
  • Experience communicating and building relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills

Education and Experience Required

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Business level English and Spanish
  • Typically 6-10 years of related experience in IT/business operations.
  • Typically 5-8 years of project management experience.
