Installer I:

The Role

The Installer I will be part of Tesla’s Energy Field Operations team. As an integral member of the team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively with other team members to successfully complete the installation of residential PV solar systems, battery storage and EV wall connectors safely and on time. It is the responsibility of every Installer to ensure safe work practices for Tesla’s installation team. New hire training and continued training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware
  • Assist with the electrical wiring of all energy products
  • Prepare and clean-up job site
  • Work with the warehouse team to pull materials for each installation job
  • Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the process
  • Additional duties required as needed

Qualifications

  • Roof work, general construction, or carpentry experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
  • Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs; and performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

Installer II:

The Role

The Installer II will be part of Tesla’s Energy Field Operations team. The Sr. Installer will be part of Tesla’s Energy Field Operations team. As an integral member of the team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively with other team members to successfully complete the installation of residential PV solar systems, battery storage and EV wall connectors safely and on time. It is the responsibility of every installer to ensure safe work practices for Tesla’s installation team. New hire training and continued training will be provided.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry strongly preferred
  • 1 year of PV solar installation experience required
  • Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
  • Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs; and performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills

Licensed Electrician:

THE ROLE

The Licensed Electrician is part of Tesla’s Energy Field Operations team. As a skilled member of the team, the Licensed Electrician will help lead the installations of residential PV solar systems, Solar Roof, battery storage, and EV wall connectors. The ideal candidate will provide electrical expertise that will contribute to the overall success of installing Tesla’s energy products. All necessary training, tools and equipment will be provided, including a company vehicle for some positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work cooperatively with a team to complete the installation of energy products

· Complete residential Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)

· Work with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and cost

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues

· Lead efforts on safe work practices for the Field Operations team

· Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the process by educating customers about the product(s) and offering real-time updates on job status

· Document and update job status in the company database

· Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings on new products, installation methodology and safety

· Perform other related duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 1-3 years’ relevant electrical experience

· A valid state Journeyman Electrician License

· Understanding of NEC codes

· Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.

· Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)

· Position may require working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs

· Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time

· Experience using basic hand and power tools

· Basic computer skills required
