Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Program Manager (Healthcare Domain) to work with one of our largest Healthcare customers. This leadership role requires experience leading a PEGA engagement. This is a travel role, Northeast.

The program manager will carry responsibility and accountability for multiple connected projects/initiatives in-flight at/with our customer, and includes managing the Perficient and customer teams, as well as 3rd party resources, ensuring successful program execution and delivery, as well as a satisfied referenced client.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, project managers, and other executives to understand/define scope and objectives, develop a program release plan which demonstrates the key objectives (i.e. Milestones) and delivery timeframes across project and program work streams. Update and re-assess frequently.
  • Identify, assess and facilitate mitigation plans for Program Issues / Risks, as well as communicate of the potential impacts to the Program scope, schedule and budget.
  • Define and Monitor Program Metrics to measure progress and successfully meet the Financial and performance objectives.
  • Educate and mentor project managers accordingly to ensure quality and consistent data. Meet regularly with Project Managers to assess program health and to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Regularly meet with product owners / stakeholders Owners and Project Mangers to review the overall project status, mitigation plans and ensure a common understanding of progress / potential roadblocks.
  • Provide leadership to the Program Team to ensure Release commitments are aligned with the Program Release Plan and that risks/issues were being dealt with proactively.
  • Work with the organization’s PMO to ensure the Program Performance Metrics align with the needs of the Organizations Portfolio Management.
  • Frequently interact with product managers and other organizational units such as QA, operations, and external IT partners as required to ensure delivery commitments are kept.
  • Overall Management of Perficient/Client Staff and collaborated with Client Project Management Office.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership ethos, holds self and others accountable.
  • Significant experience creating and reviewing project and program plans and estimates
  • Expertise in the authoring of Statements of Work which requires collection of technical & commercial requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a strong aptitude for understanding and identifying cross project dependencies and synergies.
  • Demonstrates superb organizational skills in direct activities and in helping others within the program work efficiently and effectively.
  • Must have experience setting direction and providing leadership across multiple projects and teams.
  • Must be comfortable delivering status and escalating issues and risks, including bad news, in an unemotional non-defensive way.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship management, account management, and sales support experience.
  • 10+ years of project / program management experience.
  • Must have prior background in managing large, multi-team engagements, Healthcare Domain.
  • Experience leading a PEGA engagement required.
  • Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality projects and meet project timelines.
  • Hands on with program & project documentation. Well-versed in industry best-practices and current technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred skills

  • Certified Agile Scrum Master
  • 3+ years as a member of Agile Team
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with a Global Delivery Model
