The Solutions Architect (SAP & Enterprise Applications) is a customer-focused technical sales professional that provides pre-sales consulting, technical guidance, and hands-on assistance to customers and Nutanix channel partners. The SA teams and collaborates with Nutanix sales teams to recommend and design effective and appropriate customer solutions based on Nutanix offerings. The SA acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in SAP or other Enterprise Applications by the Nutanix sales teams, business partners and customers. You can be based anywhere in Germany and you must speak fluent / native German.
Responsibilities:
• Be a self-starter who can flourish in a dynamic technology company
• Support our sales teams on large and/or strategic opportunities
• Love for solving complex distributed database system problems
• Articulate the features and benefits of Nutanix solutions and products.
• Understand the customer’s business drivers and how to map these to a Nutanix solution.
• Provide technical leadership in the Requirements Discovery, Solution Development, and Solution Proposal stages of the opportunity sales cycle. • Perform product demonstrations and presentations in support of company road show’s and events.
• Manage, monitor, and/or perform solution evaluations and Proofs-of-Concept in support of sales opportunities either directly or through channel partners.
• Perform technical account management and act as an interface between the sales/pre-sales account teams and technical staff by monitoring and managing technical issues to conclusion, including any required management escalations required to resolve technical issues.
• Act as interface to Product Management to monitoring and manage feature requests and product roadmap issues to conclusion, including any required management escalations required to resolve related issues.
• Work across the CEUR region with sales teams as a reginal pre-sales resource providing deep technical support for proposed cluster Nutanix design with respect to underlying network
• Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.
Has proven customer facing skills at both the C-level and Senior management level.
• Has deep experience working in Enterprise Applications preferably from both technical as well as presales perspective from SAP, MS SQL or Oracle u.o.
• be technically strong to establish credibility with technical leaders in customer and partner communities.
• Technical experience with virtualization technologies, data center consolidation, and/or server technologies
• Broad database/analytics experience around other technologies like NoSQL DB Workloads like MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB is desired
• Hands-on, and “does what it takes” attitude to drive success.
• Team player with strong determination and commercial awareness
• Some coding / scripting experience to for automation of platforms through API
• Experience of other tier 1 business applications such as SAP/HANA
• Deep understanding of technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technically close deals
• Flexible, dependable, self-starter, capable of quickly learning new products and technologies
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
• Ability to travel within the United States on occasion and as required
• Experience selling servers, storage hardware, or networking
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX
• Extraordinary teammate that works well in dynamic situations and startup environments
• Travel is required as needed and can be a significant percentage of time.
Qualifications and Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience software pre-sales experience in a customer facing technical role.
• 2+ years' experience in SAP or other EA domains, i.e. databases
• Experience that demonstrates a strong level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell Nutanix products and services is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
