The Site Operations team owns overall site health for Credit Karma’s suite of products to ensure that members are always able to access our suite of services. We accomplish our mission by acting as a force multiplier for engineers across Credit Karma who own production services and features. We do this by making operational risk visible to the org, leading incident management, and providing tools to facilitate both.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating with the Incident Manager and collaborating on priorities, providing updates
- Collaborating with on-call responders on troubleshooting, specifically,Identifying areas of focus
- Asking questions to facilitate troubleshooting
- Providing technical guidance on how to troubleshoot
- Setting technical guidelines on what not to do
- Managing the risk and pace of fixes & making technical decision.
Key Requirements:
- 8-10 years working in Technology & 3-5+ years in a senior + technical role
- Operating software at scale in web-facing consumer scale companies or financial settings
- Someone who can see them self as a Generalists who have seen and touched a bit of everything
Experience with: - Infrastructure (LinuxNetworking)
- Orchestration technology (Kubernetes/K8s)
- Cloud (GCP would be ideal)
- Configuration Management/Infrastructure as Code - (Salt, Chef or Terraform)
- Service meshes (Linkerd, Envoy or Istio)
- Programming Languages (Java or JVM-based languages, Node.JS , PHP & Go)
