Marketing Executive (Temporary Cover)
Description
Purpose:
The role will assume responsibility for assisting the marketing team in marketing key Pearson products and services, and extending the Pearson message, in the ME region, through events and internal, external and online communications. The role will have a specific technological aspect, with responsibilities including managing relevant online and social media content and messaging for the specified countries and communicating internally with the team via NEO.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support marketing team in managing events in the region, including coordinating logistics, day to day organisation and follow up tasks.
- Promptly enter contact details of “leads” from events into CRM system.
- Upload information regarding events onto the NEO system.
- Work with the team to develop online and social networking presence for events.
- Provide support to the marketing team for annual sales conferences.
- Support team with ad hoc campaigns and projects including copy writing, marketing literature, market research, branding and communications.
- Day to day management and development of the region’s space on NEO, with responsibility for effectively communicating messages, engaging with colleagues to increase usage, running, monitoring and analysing campaigns and developing the interface of the site.
- Processing and recording of invoices from SAP in a timely manner.
- Work with the marketing team to develop the region’s online and social networking presence.
- Regular recording of monthly analytics to track customer activity from the Middle East portal and social media sites and supply data and recommendations to marketing team.
- Exploit new technologies to achieve online marketing goals.
- Realign the social networking sites for the Middle East to ensure consistency across the board. Manage the regular communication and messaging out from these sites, with a focus on Facebook and Twitter.
- Upload all press releases related to the region onto relevant social media and online sites.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure online costs remain within budget.

- Ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues within the team and regional leaders.
- Understanding of timescales and priorities and ability to successfully reprioritise to deliver projects on time. Be able to effectively work to dedicated timelines.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment that consists of a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Ability to “think on feet” and problem solve.
- Excellent copy writing skills.
- Excellent understanding of digital and online technology.
