Specific Responsibilities

• Work with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers to execute all phases of the systems engineering process
• Define top-level requirements for systems, as well as subsequent levels of requirements for subsystems
• Track defined requirements against testable and verifiable milestones
• Execute test plans in support of requirements verification
• Define and tracking programs risks, including mitigation plans to reduce program risk over time
• Support program reviews to ensure engineering quality, and that all aspects of the development lifecycle have been accounted for
• Support the definition and refinement of processes within cross-functional teams to better support systems engineering activities
• Support requirements management in DOORS
• Assist in resolving cross-functional technical issues
• Support the design of architectures for current and future programs
• Support requirement, design and/or development revision and change presentations to formal change boards
• Perform hardware/software integration and testing to ensure the system designs meet operational and functional requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

Basic Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field and 2+ years of working experience
• Demonstrated success in a highly collaborative environment
• Experience in all stages of development including generating technical documentation, system design and development, integration of systems development, structured analysis and design methodologies, integration and test/verification
• Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Skills

• Capable of independently developing and reviewing system requirements, integration and testing processes
• Experience with requirements management tools (IBM Rational DOORS)
• Familiarity with the SAFe/Agile (SCRUM) development methodology
• Able to understand and interpret CAD/CATIA/IVT drawings, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), and IETMs
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
• Hardware testing knowledge and hands on experience in using test equipment
• Experience in working with suppliers or other external stakeholders

Travel

• Occasionally required (10%-25%) to travel for multi-site collaboration, reviews, customer meetings, etc.

Shift Requirements

• Occasionally required to work non-business hours to support testing and travel to customer sites.
