The Nielsen Retail team services a wide range of retailers, from the largest grocers to DIY and all things in-between. The team is located across the USA where they sell and service a wide array of Nielsen solutions to new and existing retail clients so the retailer in-turn can drive existing customer loyalty and find new customers.

The ideal candidate will have exposure and/or experience with:

• Loyalty/Customer card data and platforms that support this data set and the decisions driving customer loyalty
• RMS-POS data, Panel, Consumer Segmentation/Targeting research
• Retail and CPG Manufacturing clients
• Market Research and the big data inputs supporting research

The Primary role is sales and relationship building. Responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing Linkedin, Sales Force, to drive new contacts at assigned clients
• Starting dialogues with retailers to build Nielsen awareness and advocates
• Working with Client Director and Nielsen Subject-Matter-Experts to create and deliver compelling solutions with the goal of creating new business opportunities that compliment assigned accounts strategy and Nielsen overall strategy
• Customizing Thought Leadership across all Nielsen solutions and broadly distribute and create awareness
• Identifing white space opportunity areas within the client environment and create, recommend and implement go to market plans to bring Nielsen relevance and value
• Driving internal alignment for client solutions/actions that meet financial targets
• Gaining and sharing competitive intelligence through all public channels including:

-Attending quarterly financial calls and annual investor calls

-Client announcements

-Industry news and events

• Assisting in managing, updating and implementing client action plan

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of applicable experience
• Must be a strong collaborator and communicator to coordinate on regular basis with SMEs
• Needs to be pro-active, thick skinned, not discouraged by hearing NO
• Ability to articulate and sell the business value of research. Integrating big data and the big impact it can have in decision making and driving results
• Experience interacting with and selling to associates across an organization
• Experience in a Sales and/or Business Development role within a fast paced market research environment
• Previous experience with loyalty/customer card data is strongly preferred
• Previous experience with media/digital advertising is a plus
