This position
The Solutions Architect’s focus will be working with customers as a leading delivery team member to understand complex requirements and translate them into a solution that leverages cloud-based technologies. The Solutions Architect is responsible for the overall application design that translates business needs to technical requirements and a unified architectural vision. A successful candidate can work independently and communicate effectively with team members. The Solutions Architect must be able to articulate an enterprise solution architecture (functionally) that would not only include DocuSign, but also other systems and mechanisms for integrating those applications to render an overall solution for the Clients System of Agreement. Solution Architects are often called upon to engage with prospects in scoping and discovery sessions, offering best practice recommendations, on-the-fly solution suggestions and relevant lines of questioning that may not have been prepared in advance of the conversation. Solutions Architects must have strong business acumen to be successful. Previous experience in consulting, technology architecture and/or engineering and services selling are needed to effectively meet the requirements of this position.

This position is an Individual Contributor and reports to the Regional Delivery Manager within our Professional Services organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements providing technical architecture and business process optimization to support a modern system of agreement in line with DocuSign’s vision resulting in high CSAT scores.
  • Meet/Exceed utilization targets as an individual and support project team members to execute against targets
  • Contribute in presales conversations to support the attainment of the Professional Services’ bookings targets on a quarterly basis
  • Brings overall professional services, solution and application implementation expertise. Highly experienced facilitating solution-oriented discussions with business and technical decision makers, including such areas as technical design, product roadmap, deployment approach and third-party integrations involved in delivering a modern System of Agreement. The foremost expert in implementing a Modern System of Agreement.

Basic Qualifications

  • S. in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years experience delivering consulting services, in client-facing roles that provided experience with all aspects of systems implementation
  • Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing and/or web-based solutions and technologies including DocuSign, Salesforce/Force.com Platform, Backend languages (Java, C, C++), ETL tools, and Side-server scripting language (PHP, Python, Ruby)
  • Outstanding communication & presentation, both verbal and written to interact effectively at all levels of an organization and cross functionally.
  • Able to communicate technical details into business terms.
  • Native-level Portuguese, business-level English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical writing skills. The ability to take the lead role in developing comprehensive functional specification documents, process flow diagrams, configuration details, use cases, test conditions, test scripts and training documentation
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical business users from various backgrounds including Sales, Support and Marketing.
  • Demonstrates excellence in understanding complex business processes and ability to apply scenarios to a System of Agreement "Story-lines" as well as make business process modification suggestions to align with DocuSign best practices
  • Ability to anticipate change and proactively adjust priorities and strategies accordingly. Ability to work as a team, and independently, to make the best decisions for our customers.
  • Experience with front office and back office processes and related applications (Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience with onPrem applications and integration techniques.
