System Engineer Co-op/Intern

This Co-op/Intern opportunity is a 6-month commitment to start in Jan 2020 thru June 2020.

The Sales and Marketing Group (SMG) exists to deliver world class customer experiences in ways that maximizes our revenue, design- wins, as well as our brand and reputation. We are customer obsessed, amplifying their voice, providing personalized support and scale, in order to accelerate Intel's transformation to a data- centric leader.

Inside SMG is Intel's Olympics Technology Group (OTG) who brings the latest Intel technology to the Olympic games in order to showcase a broad range of products/capabilities and drive business opportunities.

As a system Engineering Co-op you will be responsible for:

• Building the hardware and software foundations and platforms for various sports-focused AI projects.
• Work with the OTG staff to design the camera architecture, server networking, camera firmware, and cloud interfaces to power Intel's projects.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 6 months experience working with machine vision cameras, pan tilt units, robotics, optics, and server maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and familiarity with machine learning and computer vision.
• Interest and knowledge of sports, biomechanics, and athlete analytics preferred.
• Background in communication networks, camera firmware, and PCB design.
