Summary:

Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative interpersonal working relationships with client on management and executive level throughout pre-sales, implementation and delivery stages of airline crew management IT solutions contracts. Responsible for crew solutions project/program on time delivery, profitability and client value. Coordinates resource assignments together with implementation managers. Partners horizontally & vertically throughout all portions of Jeppesen & customer value streams to ensure alignment & success. Guides project managers and serves as liaison between project teams, product teams, technical development, finance and line management. Participates in mechanisms for establishing and monitoring project/program change management processes and decisions. Promotes efficiency and quality initiatives in implementation projects. Contributes in project/program key meetings such as kick-off, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, close-out, lessons learned and steering committees. During pre-sales stage, defines delivery strategies and negotiates implementation project contractual agreements.

Essential Duties:

• Leads others by promoting implementation program/project methodologies, systems, tools and quality standards as defined by Jeppesen crew implementation best practices.
• Responsible for project/program delivery on time, profitability and client value. Ensures project teams are executing as planned by monitoring high-level progress and major deliveries. Determines options and appropriate actions to ensure and improve project performance.
• Facilitates communication of project/program health and status with project teams, stakeholders and sponsors and reports to or consults with senior and executive level management (internal and external). Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative interpersonal working relationships with clients on management and executive level and interacts as the primary customer contact on frequent basis. Leads and participates in internal and external steering committees.
• Provides motivation, leadership and mentors project team members. Provides feedback and performance assessments to appropriate senior management in a timely manner and addresses and helps resolve conflict among program/project teams or team members.
• First escalation point for the project manager. Acts as speaking partner and provides advice to the project manager.
• Oversees and participates in escalated risk, issue and opportunity identification and mitigation. Provides decisions and liaises internally and externally to remove impediments and road blocks. Negotiates project changes in change management board meetings.
• During the pre-sales stage, defines project/program setup and strategy, identifies resource requirements and constraints for implementation project, approves estimates and develops high-level integrated project plans including critical path. Responsible for supporting and ensuring technical / programmatic support to Jeppesen Sales team during negotiating implementation project contractual items ensuring commitments to clients are realistic.
• Continuously seeks to expand and improve personal knowledge in the area of program/project management best practices and leads the development of new processes or changes to existing processes within Jeppesen that continue to mature the program/project management discipline.
