Job Description
As a Senior Product Manager on Groupon's Consumer Marketing & Merchandising team, you will own and lead technical product development of new and existing products to create a compelling experience for our customers. You will drive and build features across the marketing platform and internal UI tools that improve communications, promotions, merchandising, customer engagement, and conversion.
In this technical and business-facing role, you will have high visibility, a broad range of responsibilities, and direct accountability to business and product metrics. The successful candidate should be a self-starter, deeply analytical, strategic, and able to lead a diverse group of stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead product direction, from conception to design, specification, and implementation, aligned with company-wide strategic vision and priorities
- Be the end-to-end owner of the product roadmap with an obsession to improve consumer-facing metrics and KPIs
- Develop business cases with financial modeling to secure buy-in and prioritization from senior leadership
- Partner directly with engineering development teams, business leaders, operations, finance, and other product managers to launch and support business impacting features and programs
- Present measures of success
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years of product management experience preferably at a rapidly growing e-commerce company
- A rigorous course of undergraduate study in computer science, engineering, business, economics, or mathematics; MBA or other related master’s degree highly preferred
- Experience working with product and engineering teams with a demonstrable track record of shipping great product
- Highly analytical and data-driven with SQL fluency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and confidence to succinctly convey complex information to both executive management and engineering
- Excited by working with data, systematically testing hypotheses, and making objective decisions based on quantitative A/B test results and deductive reasoning
- Ability to coalesce quantitative data, qualitative feedback, and strategic direction from different sources to translate into functional specifications and high-impact features our users will love
