What you’ll be doing...

The Product Consulting Manager recruits, manages, trains and develops the Product Consulting Team. The Manager coordinates resource allocation and resolves resource conflicts. PC Manager collects and organizes feedback about sales opportunities, product features, competition, processes and methodologies. This position has responsibility for keeping the Product Consulting team trained and motivated to perform and meet its goals.

The Product Consultants are the premier users of Tableau products. They are eager to help people make breakthrough advances with analysis, help people find hidden gems in information and discover the causes of behaviors. The Product Consultant provides presales support contributing to the successful conversion of prospects to customers, as well as upsells and increased adoption for existing customers.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include...

• Build a first class Product Consulting team
• Manage day to day schedules and activities of PC team
• Use Tableau’s products to quickly and expertly answer customers’ questions about their data
• Create and manage ongoing Product Consulting processes
• Create effective training documentation
• Provide presales support for prospects including data review, product demonstrations and analytical problem solving
• Become an expert in the features, benefits and application of Tableau’s products
• Communicate via phone, email, face-to-face and web meetings with prospects assisting and guiding them through the evaluation and selection process
• Communicate daily with sales staff regarding sales activities and tactics
• Deliver web-based training sessions for customers and prospects
• Provide proactive support to customers and prospects
• Develop pipeline of candidates to recruit
• Backup the technical support staff as needed
• Other related duties as assigned

Who you are...

• Experienced. 4 or more years’ experience in Product Consulting. 2 or more years’ experience in management.
• Excellent Communication. You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it.
• A True Team Player. You’re the best at what you do and you know how to work with your colleagues to get their best.
• Domain. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance.
• Strong communication and presentation skills. You love the idea of sharing the Tableau story.
• Highly Technical . Technical skill and/or ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and use of Tableau products
• Amazing Salesperson . Proven experience succeeding in the sale of software to business users in all industries.
